Calling All Students!
In an effort to inspire more biblical unity on campus, the Cultural Connections group is excited to invite you to their first meeting this semester on March 14, 2019, at 8 pm in Lyon Hall. This meeting will be both informational and vision casting; students who come will be asked questions about their personalities, backgrounds, majors, sports, ethnicities, and everything else that makes them unique. The Cultural Connections group looks forward to celebrating the different gifts people have to offer, but also to celebrating our oneness in Christ. There will also be a pizza party in the evening of March 25 to hangout and catch up after spring break.
The big event you need to be on the lookout for, however, is on March 30, at 5:30 pm (stay tuned for updates on time and location). There will be food from different cultures, music of different styles, dancing from different countries, and a general hangout time. Come for a taste of differences and leave with a sense of community and unity in the Body of Christ. The Cultural Connections group is led by Joshua Wilchcombe and Natalie Church, and they would be more than happy to answer any questions you might have. You can email them at their student emails or text Joshua at 516-424-9559. They’re looking forward to seeing you all at these events!
