This past weekend, Spenser White, Andrew Smith, Jon-Calvin Chance, and I embarked on a lunch adventure to try a new local restaurant. We found ourselves walking into Murphy’s Original Steakhouse. Let me tell you, this was an experience that I am glad we had.

As soon as you walk into Murphy’s, you see a homey atmosphere. The waiters and waitresses greeted us with a smile and made sure our waters stayed full. We started our meal with fried pickle spears, fried jalapeños, and mozzarella sticks. There were also crackers with some garlic sauce that I can only describe as heavenly. These were the perfect appetizers to have before moving our focus to the main dish.

Now, the main dish was incredible. My meal was a hot hamburger. This God-inspired creation consists of hamburger meat, freshly made fries, onions, and hot gravy on top. I’m gonna give it a solid 9/10. It was the best hot hamburger I have ever had, and the service was great. Everything was done well and done efficiently.

Jon-Calvin, who had some chicken-fried chicken, fries, and salad said, “It’s a solid Greasy Spoon! I give it a 10/10.” Andrew, who ordered chicken-fried chicken, potatoes, and salad, said, “I loved the atmosphere! The food was amazing for the price, and the service was fast! I never had an empty drink, and the food came out before I even had time to think about the wait!” Spenser, who had a hamburger and fries said that it was “super hearty food for a cheap price.” It is absolutely the perfect choice if you want some local food that won’t burn a hole in your wallet. Check out Murphy’s when you get a chance!
